All the pipes were made in house.
The two rows of external pipes are easily detachable for transport.
The keyboard is movable to six different positions, giving an exceptionally large pitch range.
This organ is used by the director of the Oxford Girls Choir
and is available for hire in the Oxford area.
8' POSITIVE ORGAN
The organ is shown sitting on top of its blower box,
but can also rest on a table or a specially
designed cupboard which also houses the blower.
Manually blown positives and portatives can also be supplied.
THE TRANSPORTATIVE ORGAN
An 8' + 4'chamber organ which can be rapidly taken apart and loaded into a car by one man, and is intended mainly for use as a continuo organ.
Some chamber organs have the largest pipes disposed in removable banks, but the remaining unit is still very heavy even for two men to lift. In the transportative, all the pipes are in removable banks. Also there are no channels, sliders etc. to add weight. There are 8'and 4' ventil-chests. The action is mechanical.
Brief specification:
54 notes C-f at A415 or A440.
Transposing keyboard.
8' stopped diapason (wood throughout).
4' chimney flute (wood throughout).
Combined blower/regulator box.
The organ has no case and depends for its visual effect on the pipes themselves which are arranged in V shapes or half V shapes that combine to form a harmonious whole. At the centre is the keyboard in cherry and ebony with oak surround and music desk. The player sits at the keyboard - there is room for the knees in the
well and there is a good view of the other musicians. The organ is on casters so it can be easily moved.

THE 8' CONTINUO ORGAN

Though built on traditional lines with a channel and pallet under each key,
this organ is very easily portable. The two side banks of pipes are readily detachable and the organ is then lifted off the blower box on which it rests.
Compass C-a (nearly 4 octaves). Wind pressure can be adjusted, for exampleto give a very soft tone for viol consorts or a stronger one for general continuo work.
GOZO ORGAN
Not an organ for sale, but a project in which David Bolton was involved. He writes:-
"In 2001 I joined a three-man team refurbishing and enlarging a redundant 2-manual organ which was to be donated to St. George's Basilica, Gozo.

Richard Vendome, the team leader, wanted the organ rebuilt along historical lines reflecting early 19th century practice.
"The first of my main tasks was to provide an 8' principal rank of wood to serve as the show pipes (pictured), after the model of the Organo di Legno in Innsbruck. Ten of the largest pipes were adapted from a fine Violoncello stop by Lindsey Garrard.
"The second task was to convert the pedal organ from pneumatic to mechanical action. A new chest was made and placed under the end of the pedalboard.
"The organ was installed in 2004 and officially inaugurated in 2006."
